The Byways Working Group has been established to consider the management and appraise the condition of BOATs in the Surrey Hills AONB and take pro-active management action to minimise damage by motorised vehicles. The Surrey Hills is a 422 km 2 (163 sq mi) Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which principally covers parts of the North Downs and Greensand Ridge in Surrey, England (approximately one quarter of the land area of the county).
